| | INTRODUCTION Almost everyday I am asked by readers about the possibilities of employment in Thailand and what job opportunities await them. I used to reply to people individually but that started to get rather time consuming so I then started to send out a form reply instead, something I am loathe to do, but something which was virtually enforced upon me by circumstances - the devil of my life - a lack of time! If only we could have an extra couple of hours per day... Anyway, I feel that there are a huge number of people who read this site who are searching for employment in Thailand, and I also know that a heap of people who read this site are not only employed locally, but many are actually employers locally. So what I would like to do is provide a "jobs offered board" for any employers in Thailand who are looking for staff. All jobs offered should be positions where the company or organisation is primarily looking for a Westerner to fill a position. Remember, it is fine to specify nationality, age and sex when you advertise for jobs in Thailand, so such ads do not break the law, as they would in the West. Exactly how this page develops remains to be seen, and its existence, indeed its hoped success, depends very much on people supporting it. So come on you employers, let me know what positions you have on offer. I am happy to list pretty much anything from jobs in the oil industry, to computer related jobs, teaching positions, voluntary work, pretty much anything. All I ask is that a genuine position exists and your company is not simply fishing to see who is out there. I also ask that you let me know as soon as you have either cut off applications for the position or the position has been filled.
