This gallery contains photos that were taken in 2005 and 2006. There is always something happening in the evening in Thailand and if you have the time, and the patience, you can get some really nice shots.

For photography freaks, all of these shots were taken with a Canon 20D matched with a Canon 24 - 70L, a Canon 70 - 200L or a Canon 50 mm 1.4 lens.

The sunset in Pattaya can be very nice some days, but it isn't usually as spectacular as what you get in the southern beaches and islands.

A traditional Thai dancer in Chiang Mai. This woman is, to my eyes, absolutely gorgeous.

Every year the area around World Trade Centre is lit up beautifully at New Year.

Club Electric Blue, the newest gogo bar in the Patpong area.

There's something about this shot that I like, but I cannot put my finger on it. It was hand-held at night so was quite pleased that it was sharp.

Bangkok's very own Chinatown.

Cooking up something or other down in Chinatown. Bangkok's Sino spot is best visited at night, when the traffic is lighter, and all of the neon is on.

Ahhh, Muslim food, always a treat.

Fierce competition and a large number of bars means that the girls standing outside the Walking Street gogos in Pattaya are often the prettiest girls from the bar.

These girls are all from the Kangaroo Bar on Bangla Road and believe it or not, girls in that bar are NOT barfineable!

The beautiful entranceway to the Phuket Kata Resort, done out in a Khmer temple style. This photo was taken from the Capannina Italian restaurant in Kata, a MUST VISIT if like me you are a big fan of Italian food.

The stairway to heaven...well, actually it is the stairway up into a short-time hotel in the short alley between Patpong sois 1 and 2.

Soi Thaniya girls scream out mushy mushy to entice the Japanese salarymen inside... What does musy mushy mean? "Hello handsome man" in Japanese?

The Second Road in Pattaya, a spot where there is always something or other happening.

Night markets are always a hive of activity in Thailand.

Thai style evening meal, everyone eating together on the floor! This is of course how they eat in the provinces, and the more well-to-do in Bangkok would not eat off the floor like this. The leg there is mine - not to be eaten either!

Sukhumvit Soi 33 at night. This soi has really becoming something recently and is for me, at the time of compiling this gallery, the most fun night spot in Bangkok.

"Ngarn Wat". This is the Thai equivalent of a Western fair. If you're married to a Thai woman, watch her eyes light up when you ask her about this and all of her memories from there when she was young.

Barn Ya Mo. The structure in which Khunying Ya Mo is said to live. Here it is lit up for the anniversary of HM The King's 60th year to the throne.
